There is speculation that new 'Grey's Anatomy' star Rachael Taylor could become the on-screen love interest of Dr Alex Karev (Justin Chambers).
TV Guide reports that Australian actress Taylor is playing Dr Lucy Fields and makes her debut in the medical drama on US television next month.
Speaking about her new job, Taylor said: "I'm working with Justin Chambers a lot. He has a wicked sense of humour.
"I wasn't sure what to expect from the cast, but they can't have been more gracious or welcoming.
"Ellen Pompeo is like the sweetest woman in the world - she's so delightful. Patrick [Dempsey] is a gentleman. They've all been wonderful. And it's really impressive as well that seven years on they show up, know their lines, put in great performances and also have the energy to welcome a newbie like me. I didn't expect it."
Asked about romance for her character, Taylor replied: "I don't know. There's been no steam yet, I don't think... Depends what you call steam."
'Grey's Anatomy' continues on RTÉ Two on Tuesday nights.
