Liam Neeson is reprising his role as Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jinn on television.

Entertainment Weekly reports that Neeson is voicing two episodes of The Cartoon Network's 'The Clone Wars', which will be shown in the US on 28 January and 11 February.

The episodes see Qui-Gon appear to friend Obi-Wan Kenobi in visions.

The actor told Entertainment Weekly that he decided to return to the role because "these characters resonate... even after all these years".

He added: "Growing up, my heroes were cowboys; they were strong and mysterious, and it seemed like they always rode off into the sunset. For kids today, 'Star Wars' has that same kind of magic. I really wanted to be a part of that."
