'Desperate Housewives' star Brenda Strong has filed for divorce from her husband of over 21 years, Tom Henri.
TVGuide.com reports that in a statement Strong said: "It is with great difficulty that we have decided to file for dissolution of our marriage.
"We are grateful for the years we've shared and our beautiful son.
"We hope that the media will respect our privacy during this transition."
Strong, who plays the narrator Mary Alice Young in 'Desperate Housewives', has been married to yoga instructor Henri since 1989.
