'The Social Network' was the big winner at the Golden Globes in the US last night, winning in four categories.

The film, which chronicles the creation of Facebook, won the awards for Best Film (Drama), Best Director (David Fincher), Best Screenplay (Aaron Sorkin) and Best Original Score (Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross).

'The King's Speech', which had been nominated in seven categories, won just one award: Best Actor (Drama) for Colin Firth.

Natalie Portman was named Best Actress (Drama) for her performance in 'Black Swan', while Christian Bale and Melissa Leo won the Best Supporting Actor and Actress awards for their work on boxing film 'The Fighter'.

'The Kids Are All Right' was named Best Comedy or Musical and one of its stars, Annette Bening, won Best Actress in a Comedy or Musical.

Paul Giamatti was named Best Actor (Comedy or Musical) for 'Barney's Version'.

'Toy Story 3' won Best Animated Film, with Denmark's 'In a Better World' named Best Foreign Film.

Best Original Song went to Diane Warren for 'You Haven't Seen the Last of Me' from 'Burlesque'.
