It is reported that the makers of 'Coronation Street' have been forced to rewrite upcoming episodes following Kym Marsh's early maternity leave.
The Sun says that plans to have Marsh's character, Michelle Connor, have an affair with new character Frank Foster (Andrew Lancel) have been scrapped.
It is reported that Frank will now have an affair with Maria Connor (Samia Smith).
The paper says that Maria is set to become Carla Connor's (Alison King) personal assistant at the factory while Julie Carp (Katy Cavanagh) will reportedly be promoted to supervisor.
A source said the changes would offer "lots of ideas for exciting new plots".
