Singer Taylor Swift was left "upset and hurt" following her split from Jake Gyllenhaal.
The celebrity couple began dating in October, eight months after Gyllenhaal's high-profile break-up with Oscar winner Reese Witherspoon.
According to US Weekly, a source said that Gyllenhaal chose to end their relationship over the phone, a move which left the popstar feeling "really burned".
They said: "Taylor is really upset and hurt. She doesn't know what she did for him to just put a stop to it. She feels really burned by him."
A separate source, who spotted Swift at the recent People's Choice Awards, added: "She was not her usual bubbly, over-animated self. She...seemed very sad and definitely wasn't having a good time."
