Bond Girl gets nod for Bafta Award

Former Bond girl Gemma Arterton has said she is "thrilled" to be up for this year's Bafta 'Rising Star' award.

According to the BBC, Arterton, 24, who starred in 2008's 'Quantum of Solace' said: "I'm in very good company with the other actors who have been nominated."

'Inception' star Tom Hardy, 'Spider-Man' actor Andrew Garfield, American actress, 'Superbad's Emma Stone and 'Kick-Ass' star Aaron Johnson are also in the running.

The winner will be announced at the Bafta awards on Sunday 13 February.
