Jedward have told fans that they are 'launching' their own currency.
The brothers unveiled the 'Jedollar', "the only currency that counts", on their Twitter page yesterday with the headline, "Ireland is ditching the € in favor of..."
The coin features silhouettes of the brothers' heads and the inscription, "The United States of Jedlandia".
However, a spokesman for the duo told The Star that the currency was not a comment on Ireland's economic position.
"I doubt they've even heard anything about any crisis," he said. "I'd say they have launched the Jedollar in their heads and on Twitter."
