Over 6,000 people have now complained in the UK about 'EastEnders' controversial cot death storyline.
The Guardian reports that the soap's bosses have decided to end the storyline earlier than was originally planned.
It was expected that the plot would run for most of the year, but the paper says that an ending in the spring is "now likely".
Yesterday it was announced that actress Samantha Womack, whose character Ronnie Branning is at the centre of the soap plot, is leaving the show.
However, her agent denied that her departure was linked to the storyline.
