'Coronation Street' newcomer Will Thorp has hinted that there may be trouble ahead for his character Chris and girlfriend Maria.
Speaking to Soaplife, the actor said that Chris, who was previously married to Cheryl, may return to his old ways.
He said: "He genuinely likes her. He feels comfortable with her and has no plans to be nasty to her. Not at the moment, anyway."
"Everyone's warned her off him, but she's only ever experienced Chris being nice. And there's no reason to think he's going to hurt her."
"At the moment, she wants them to move slowly and he's letting her be in charge. That won't last, though..."
