TV host Judy Finnigan, the mother of new 'Dancing on Ice' contestant Chloe Madeley, has said she is so nervous about her daughter taking part in the show that she is "going to have to take a cushion and put my face behind it".
Broadcaster Madeley is one of 16 contestants, including 'Hollyoaks' star Jennifer Metcalfe and Kerry Katona, taking part in the new series of the ITV show which begins on Sunday.
The Press Association reports that her mother Finnigan said: "I am a bit nervous about it, but not so much as she is. She's not nervous about being injured, she's just nervous because it all starts this weekend.
"I'm nervous for her, I think it's going to be quite difficult. I think I'm going to have to take a cushion and put my face behind it."
Finnigan's husband, presenter Richard Madeley, said he had never seen their daughter "work so hard" preparing for 'Dancing on Ice'.
"She's taking it very seriously," he said. "She comes home absolutely exhausted, physically exhausted every night. And mentally exhausted too."
