The American actress, Anne Francis, who starred in the classic science fiction film, 'Forbidden Planet', has died in Los Angeles.
She was 80.
Anne Francis' daughter, Jane Uemura, told the Los Angeles Times that her mother died of complications arising from pancreatic cancer.
The actress appeared in some of the most popular films of the 1950s, including 'Blackboard Jungle' and 'Bad Day at Black Rock', and in the 1960s TV series 'Honey West'.
