Mariah Carey's husband, Nick Cannon, has confirmed that the award-winning singer is pregnant with twins.
According to Now, the rapper made the announcement on his radio show yesterday and revealed that the US President Barack Obama and his First Lady Michelle Obama were the first to know.
Backstage at a charity event in Washington over the weekend, the couple asked Carey about reports that she is expecting twins.
Cannon, 30, told listeners: "At this point she hadn't told anybody anything because doctors advised us to keep it ourselves until we get further along in the pregnancy.
"But because of the excitement, she was overwhelmed and she shared with the President and First Lady that we are having twins."
The 40-year-old singer is due to give birth in the spring.
