'The King's Speech' has picked up seven nominations for the Golden Globe Awards.

Among the awards it will contest are Best Motion Picture and Best Actor, for which Colin Firth received a nomination.

Nominated in the Best Motion Picture category, alongside 'The King's Speech, are 'Black Swan', 'The Fighter', 'Inception' and 'The Social Network'.

The nominees for Best Musical/Comedy are 'Alice in Wonderland', 'Burlesque', 'The Kids Are All Right', 'RED' and 'The Tourist'.

Nominated for Best Actor, Motion Picture, Drama are Jesse Eisenberg ('The Social Network'), Colin Firth ('The King's Speech'), James Franco ('127 Hours'), Ryan Goslin ('Blue Valentine') and Mark Wahlberg ('The Fighter').

The nominees for Best Actress, Motion Picture, Drama are Halle Berry ('Frankie & Alice'), Nicole Kidman ('Rabbit Hole'), Jennifer Lawrence ('Winter's Bone'), Natalie Portman ('Black Swan') and Michelle Williams ('Blue Valentine').

Contesting the category of Best Actor in a Motion Picture, Comedy or Musical are Johnny Depp ('Alice in Wonderland' and 'The Tourist'), Paul Giamatti ('Love and Other Drugs'), Jake Gyllenhaal ('Love and Other Drugs') and Kevin Spacey ('Casino Jack').

Nominated in the category of Best Actress in a Motion Picture, Comedy or Musical are Annette Bening ('The Kids Are Alright'), Anne Hathaway ('Love and Other Drugs'), Angelina Jolie ('The Tourist'), Julianne Moore ('The Kids Are Alright') and Emma Stone ('Easy A').

The nominees for Best Director Motion Picture are Darren Aronofsky ('Black Swan'), David Fincher ('The Social Network'), Tom Hooper ('The King's Speech'), Christopher Nolan ('Inception') and David O. Russell ('The Fighter').

The shortlist for Best Supporting Actor includes Christian Bale ('The Fighter'), Michael Douglas ('Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps'), Andrew Garfield ('The Social Network'), Jeremy Renner ('The Town') and Geoffrey Rush ('The King's Speech').

The nominees in the Best Supporting Actress category are Amy Adams ('The Fighter'), Helena Bonham Carter ('The King's Speech'), Mila Kunis ('Black Swan'), Melissa Leo ('The Fighter') and Jackie Weaver ('Animal Kingdom').

In the category of Best Animated Feature Film, 'Despicable Me', 'How To Train Your Dragon', 'The Illusionist', 'Tangled' and 'Toy Story 3' have been nominated.

The nominees for Best Television Series, Drama are 'Boardwalk Empire', 'Dexter', 'The Good Wife', 'Mad Men' and 'The Walking Dead'.

In the category of Best Actor, Mini-series or Motion Picture Made for Television, Idris Elba ('Luther'), Ian McShane ('Pillars of the Earth'), Al Pacino ('You Don't Know Jack'), Dennis Quaid ('The Special Relationship') and Edgar Ramirez ('Carlos') have been nominated.

The shortlist for Best Actress, Mini-series or Motion Picture Made for Television contains Hayley Atwell ('Pillars of the Earth'), Claire Danes ('Temple Grandin'), Judy Dench ('Return to Cranford'), Romola Garai ('Emma') and Jennifer Love Hewitt ('The Client List).
