'One Direction' star Zayn Malik and 'Belle Amie' singer Geneva Lane have admitted that they are dating after previously dismissing rumours of a romance.
The pair took to Twitter to quench the rumours after being photographed kissing backstage at 'The X Factor'.
Zayn Malik wrote: "Hey fans, I just thought I'd let you guys know don't believe the hype. We're just friends and that was a friendly kiss... All my fans can have a friendly kiss."
Geneva Lane said: "It was just as friends, finale and all. It's just hype... Look it was a joke that backfired guys."
"Mistake, so sorry. I suppose the damage is done. I'll just brace myself for today's bundle of abuse."
Later Zayn Malik posted a message on his page, saying: "Listen fans i still love yuu all dont be jelous and hate on @genevalane were together whether yuu hate or not ..." (sic)
