Despite earlier reports that Rebecca Ferguson begged Louis Walsh to be her mentor on The X Factor, the Liverpudlian is standing by Cheryl Cole.
According to The Sun, Ferguson went to Walsh's dressing room and pleaded with him to replace her current mentor Cole.
However the 24-year-old singer has since written on her Twitter page: "I love cheryl don't believe what you read xxx".
The newspaper reported that a source claimed: "Rebecca had to watch while Cher and - before she got chucked out - Katie Waissel got all the attention.
"Rebecca turned to Louis as he has always been such a big fan of hers. He gave her some advice and helped her get her confidence back."
