Louis Walsh has said that he thinks it will be "very hard" for Nadine Coyle to have a successful solo career.
In an interview with Star Magazine the X Factor judge said that Coyle needs the support of a powerful player in the music industry to make it as a solo artist.
He said: "It's going to be very hard for her to cut it as a solo star. She needs to get a really big record producer or manager behind her, or it doesn't matter if she's written the greatest songs on the planet because not enough people will be exposed to them."
Coyle's album 'Insatiable' failed to break into Sunday's Top 40 on its first week of release.
When asked what advice he would give the Derry-born singer, Walsh said: "To try to get Girls Aloud back together! I've always said she's a great singer but she needs to be in the band."
He added: "I think girlbands are much harder to work with than boybands. They are always fussing and fighting about their hair and clothes and all these kinds of things. I'm not sure if they'll get back together."
