Last night Dave Cashman became the ninth hopeful to be fired by Bill Cullen on 'The Apprentice'.
The 28-year-old from Douglas in Cork found himself in the firing line when his team lost the Spar supermarket challenge.
The Star reports that the Corkman was dismayed to be likened with team mate Will McCreevey to 'Bert and Ernie'. The comparison was made by Jackie Lavin who said the pair looked like muppets doing nothing while project manager Barry Caesar Hunt floundered during a team presentation.
Following his sacking Cashman said "I came here with a goal and it wasn’t to go on week nine."
