Catherine Zeta-Jones and Michael Douglas reportedly plan to renew their wedding vows.
According to Now, the couple want to celebrate their 10th wedding anniversary on 18 November with a huge party in New York.
A source told the Express: "Michael is very weak with his chemotherapy and radiation treatment, but this is something he is determined to do.
"He was in tears when Catherine suggested they take their vows again and sees it as a wonderful expression of their love.
"Mike's a fighter and he has promised himself he'll be strong enough for their second big day."
Douglas, 65, and Zeta-Jones, 40, got married at New York's Plaza Hotel in 2000.
They are parents to Dylan Michael, 10, and Carys Zeta, 7.
In August, Douglas announced he was having treatment for throat cancer.
