'Strictly Come Dancing' contestant Ann Widdecombe has revealed that people approach her on the street and ask if they can dance with her.
In an interview with the Radio Times, the former politician says: "I'm used to requests for autographs and photographs, but now I'm always being asked to dance with strangers in the streets.
"Anton [du Beke, professional dance partner] looks on critically and I'm sure he's dying to say: 'Stand up straight. Tuck in your posterior. Oh, you are letting me down. One, two, three, threeee not four, threeeeeee...'"
Widdecombe reveals in the interview that her next goal on the show "is to survive another two eliminations and go to Blackpool, once the scene of so many political antics at party conferences".
"It would be wonderfully funny to return and attempt a very different collection of smart moves and neat footwork!" she says.
