Jamiroquai's Jay Kay has apologised for insulting comments he made about X Factor judges Cheryl Cole and Dannii Minogue.
According to the Daily Mail, instead of a warm reception for new single 'White Knuckle Ride', the Jamiroquai frontman, found himself being cold-shouldered by Cole and Minogue, following insulting comments he had made about them.
The singer who made a comeback after four years away from the music scene, had reportedly insulted the judges in a tabloid interview less than 24-hours before appearing on stage in front of them, saying they were "useless" and "amateurs".
His X Factor appearance proved to be payback time, as the girls chatted to each other while he sang and then refused to applaud him afterwards, leaving a bemused-looking Simon Cowell and Louis Walsh to clap alone.
Plus the usual standing ovation for guest singers, which both Rihanna and Bon Jovi received on the night, was absent as you will see in the clip.
Kay allegedly apologised and sent flowers, saying that he was embarrassed by the incident, adding he also received a message that his apology had been accepted.
However despite everything, on the night he said to host Dermot O'Leary: "I had reservations but I’ve had a wonderful day."
