Paloma Vivanco was the latest candidate fired by Lord Sugar on last night’s Apprentice.
The 29-year-old Peruvian-born wannabe was sacked after she turned on her two colleagues in the boardroom after team Apollo failed in a fashion buying and selling task. Speaking after being fired she said "The key reason that Lord Sugar got rid of me was because I got a little too lippy in the boardroom."
Lord Sugar said she had "talked herself out" of the programme with her boardroom outburst. Vivanco said "I think it's his loss to be honest."
The teams had been tasked with setting up one-day fashion outlets at Manchester's Trafford Centre. But the £3,223 takings of Vivanco's Apollo crew trailed the Synergy rivals by more than £500.
Vivanco decided to point the finger at colleague Alex Epstein for his poor choice of location. She also brought Sandeesh Samra back into the boardroom.
Vivanco said of Samra "She's not as strong as some of the others and I think there are times when she hides behind a lot of the menial tasks." But Samra responded by saying "I think you'll find that Paloma has been a lot more destructive than she has been constructive."
Epstein said he was being made a "scapegoat" when Vivanco said "You were terrible - you were a bit of an irritant the whole day." He responded with: "I think you're lying your face off here to protect your position."
Lord Sugar fired her saying: "I don't like your last outburst and from my 40 years in business and my personal instinct, I don't like what I've seen across the table today."
