A former star of 'EastEnders' is to play a detective in an upcoming 'Coronation Street' storyline.

The show's official website says that actress Pooja Shah, who played Kareena Ferreira in 'EastEnders', has been cast as Detective Constable Moore in the ITV soap.
Shah's character is called in to investigate a situation involving convicted killer Tracy Barlow (Kate Ford).
She will appear in eight episodes and has already begun filming.
