It is reported that with 'Strictly Come Dancing' narrowing the gap on 'The X Factor' in the UK ratings war, Simon Cowell has allegedly said he wants more tears on the ITV show.
Last weekend, 'Strictly Come Dancing' had a peak audience of 12.2m in the UK, with 'The X Factor' peaking at 13.5m.
The Mirror claims that Cowell gave a 30-minute pep talk to 'The X Factor' contestants on Sunday.
The paper quotes an unnamed source as saying: "Simon called them together, telling them they needed to get their personalities across.
"Last weekend all the videos shown as singers come out were re-shot. He wanted more tears and emotion.
"He is feeling pressure now 'Strictly' is doing well."
