Strictly Come Dancing’s latest reject has likened her departure from the popular BBC One dance show to being dumped.

Former 'Coronation Street' actress Tina O’Brien was voted off the show last night with professional dance partner Jared Murillo after finding herself in the bottom two with actress Felicity Kendall. She failed to wow the viewers on Saturday night with her Argentine tango.

Speaking to Digital Spy she said "I feel heartbroken. I do. My heart really hurts and I'm going to miss it so much... It has been by far the happiest experience of my life. I can't even tell you, it has meant so much to me.

"At times, it is the scariest thing I've ever done, going out in front of 11 million people on live TV is really scary. But I found a new confidence within myself that I didn't really think I had."

O’Brien has said she is now backing former 'Eastenders' star Kara Tointon to win the show.

She said "She is also the most lovely girl, there is no agenda there with her and she's totally genuine. I think she totally deserves to win and she is working so hard. I really hope she does well."

Tointon was the first celebrity to win a coveted ten from the judges this weekend.
