It is reported that fans will hear 'Coronation Street' favourite Bill Tarmey sing a classic tearjerker - in tune - when the 'deathbed' scene of his character Jack Duckworth airs on the soap next week.

Sixty-nine-year-old Tarmey, who has starred in the soap for over 30 years, was previously a nightclub singer.
A 'Coronation Street' source told the Mirror: "Every time he was asked to sing in the 'Street' it had to be off-key. It's the ultimate irony that fans will hear his voice as it really is in Bill's final scene on November 8.
"As he lays dying in the chair where Vera (Liz Dawn) passed away, Jack will be visited by his dear departed for a last dance. The song Wind Beneath My Wings will play and it will be Bill singing."
