Singer Mariah Carey and her television presenter husband Nick Cannon have confirmed that they are expecting a baby together.
Speaking on 'The Today Show', the 41-year-old singer said: "Yes, we are pregnant. This is true."
"It's been a long journey. It's been tough because I've been trying to hold on to a shred of privacy."
Cannon said of the news: "The greatest gift on earth is a child."
Carey said she did not want to reveal her exact due date yet but said that the baby was due early next year.
The singer also revealed that she previously suffered a miscarriage.
The full interview with Carey and Cannon is due to be screened on 'Access Hollywood'.
