'Emmerdale' star Emma Atkins has said that there is "mystery and intrigue" surrounding the return of Debbie Dingle to the show.
According to Holy Soap, Atkins, who plays Debbie's mother Charity in the show, said that viewers can expect exciting scenes when actress Charley Webb returns to the soap after her maternity leave.
Atkins said: "She's a lot more sophisticated when she returns, a lot more subtle."
"I think Charity and Cain are a bit surprised, thinking 'Who's this new girl that's walked in the door? Why have you come back? What are you here for?' There's a bit of mystery and intrigue there."
"I have absolutely no idea what it is, but I can sense it from the way she's playing it. I think we're in for a good year."
Webb and her co-star Matthew Wolfenden, who plays David Metcalfe in the show, welcomed a baby boy last April.
