'X Factor' judge Cheryl Cole has said that being labelled "the nation's sweetheart" makes her cringe.
Speaking to X magazine, the pop singer said that she finds it embarrassing that many UK publications give her that title.
When asked how she felt about the tag "nation's sweetheart", Cole said: "I cringe. I cringe. It's cringeworthy."
"I can't take that on board. If I took all of that on board, I'd go crazy."
"If I took that on board, and then the negative stuff on board, where would I be?"
