Comedian Russell Brand and singer Katy Perry were married in a private, traditional Hindu ceremony at an exclusive hotel resort in India's Rajasthan over the weekend.
According to NME, the festivities were held on the grounds of the Ranthambore National Park, a tiger reserve south of Jaipur.
Private security guards, black screens and a mobile phone ban ensured that the ceremony was shielded from the media and a representative for the couple said publicity rights had not been sold to a London magazine as had been reported.
Guests are said to have included Noel Gallagher, Jonathan Ross and his wife Jane Goldman, Morrissey, P Diddy and David Baddiel.
The representative also confirmed that the maid of honour was not pop star Rihanna as had been reported, but a family friend.
The ceremony featured camels, horses and elephants as well as chanting priests, fire-eaters and snake charmers.
