'Coronation Street' star Steven Arnold has said that he would hate for his character's marriage to fall apart before he leaves the show.
Speaking to Inside Soap, the actor, who plays Ashley Peacock in the show, said of his character's current troubles with wife Claire: "I just hope they can get over all this."
"They've been through so much together, and they always come through their troubles."
"I think they're a very strong couple - a really good unit."
"I'd be gutted if Ashley and Claire split up. I've worked with Julia Haworth for 12 hours a day every day for so long, and we've got such a strong bond."
