Brand, Perry - Russell and Katy getting married this weekend

Katy Perry and Russell Brand are getting married tomorrow in a Hindu ceremony in India.

According to MTV News the couple are embracing a number of the Hindu wedding traditions, Perry was spotted sporting an Indian bridal nose ring, otherwise known as a nath, as she arrived at Jaipur at Mumbai's International airport.

Tradition dictates the bride's will wear the nath throughout the wedding day, with the bridegroom removing it on the wedding night as a symbol of the woman's virginity ending.

Perry is expected to have her hands decorated with henna tattoos in a traditional Indian pre-wedding ritual, while the ceremony itself will feature many traditional Hindu elements including Russell reportedly arriving on a white horse.

The comedian proposed to the chart-topping singer just three months after they started dating and they will be joined by around 85 guests for the traditional Indian celebration, which began on Tuesday and is expected to last until the main event on Saturday.

Jonathan Ross and his wife Jane Goldman are expected to be amongst the guests as are 'Little Britain' star David Walliams and his wife Lara Stone, and R&B singer Rihanna, who will be Katy's maid of honour.

However, Brand recently revealed that much of the wedding - which will also feature fireworks, a band and live music from hip-hop star P Diddy - will be no different to anybody else's nuptials.

He said: "It will have a first dance, it will have all of them things, like anything else.

"It’s no more interesting or no less spectacular than any marriage of anybody, so it’s very beautiful and incredible and wonderful, but it’s also utterly mundane."
