The Presentation Secondary School from Ballyphehane in Cork won the first regional final of the All Island School Choir of the Year competition. The show, hosted by Anne Cassin, was screened on RTÉ One Television yesterday evening.

The regional final was held at the Curtis Auditorium at the Cork School of Music and the competition is run in association with Co-operation Ireland.
The second regional final will be televised from the Royal Theatre, Castlebar, Co Mayo, next Sunday at 5.10pm. The Grand Final will be broadcast live from the Waterfront Hall in Belfast on the 14th of November.

Last year’s winner was the Methodist College School Choir from Belfast.
