It has been announced that pop star Christina Aguilera and her husband of five years have split up.
Aquilera and music executive Jordan Bratman have been separated for a number of months. In a statement the singer said "Although Jordan and I are separated, our commitment to our son Max remains as strong as ever."
A source is quoted in US Weekly as saying they have not yet decided to divorce and added that "they are now living apart, and they will see how that goes".
The couple met in 2002 and married in California’s Napa Valley in November 2005. They are parents to two-year-old Max.
