'Strictly Come Dancing' reject Goldie has criticised the new format on the BBC One show.

The Sun reports that the DJ, who was voted off the show last night, said the programme is "not about dancing" and would turn into a pantomime if the format continues.

The results are decided when the judges’ scores are combined with the public’s votes. However in past seasons the judges decided who would go after the bottom two would take part in a dance off. Last night Goldie left the shows as he had the lowest number of combined votes.

He said "It was a bit of a shocker. I didn't see it coming. If there had been a dance-off, the result would have been totally different. I can't help but think, 'Bloody hell, that was unfair.'"

He added "You've either got to be really bad at dancing, and completely hilarious, or really good. There's no room for being in the middle.

"It's not about dancing. Maybe if I'd fallen over a bit more I'd have done better. It's in danger of becoming a pantomime. It's the Strictly machine and the wheels will keep turning - but I've been left under them."

Goldie scored 46 points from the judges well above Ann Widdecombe, Paul Daniels and Peter Shilton who scored 29, 37 and 38.
