Actress Gwyneth Paltrow has criticised the lack of quality acting roles offering to women in Hollywood.

The Oscar-winning actress made her comments in an interview with Elle where she observed that actresses often are not given roles of substance in mainstream films. She said "There's a lot that's okay, but there's little that's really good, especially for someone my age" adding "sometimes you find out that something you really liked is going to someone 10 years younger."

Paltrow continued: "I find it heartening that Meryl Streep and Sandra Bullock have been able to find and create amazing projects."

The movie star will next appear with Tim McGraw in ‘Country Strong’ later this year.
