'Strictly Come Dancing' contestant Peter Shilton has promised fans of the show he has "a lot more to give".
Shilton was criticised by judge Craig Revel Horwood for letting professional dance partner Erin Boag slip through his fingers during his last performance.
But speaking to the Press Association the goalkeeping legend said: "I believe I've got a lot more to give - this week's the Latin dance, so hopefully I can go out there and show people what Peter Shilton's really made of.
"I'm down in that little relegation period and people are getting voted off this week, so I don't want to go this week. It'll certainly be a lot different to last week, I can promise that.
"I thought in my first show I went into my goalkeeping mode. I was a bit safe and secure and didn't want to make a mistake, and got through the routine pretty well technically wise.
"But I didn't really perform, I didn't give a bit of that, and that's what 'Strictly's about. The crowd and the judges want to see you get out there and enjoy yourself. I was doing that in training but on the night it didn't quite go [to plan]. But it was OK."
