Former 'EastEnders' actress Natalie Cassidy has spoken about her happiness since the arrival of her daughter Eliza Beatrice.

Speaking for the first time since her baby was born last week to OK! magazine, Cassidy and finacé Adam Cottrell said "We're on cloud nine, we keep crying all the time. We're a family! I can't believe she's ours."

27-year-old Natalie said "She's so beautiful. I can't begin to tell you - I know everybody says that about their own baby but she really is. I feel like I've found my vocation, I really do! She's a week old tomorrow and I feel really upset because she's getting older.

"We're just so incredibly happy - I want it to stay this way for ever."

Natalie gave birth to 8lb 15oz Eliza by Caesarean section last week. Cassidy said she was originally upset at not being able to have a natural birth but realised it was the safest option for her and the baby.

Speaking about her baby weight she said: "I feel like I didn't put loads of weight on during the pregnancy. But you don't have five minutes spare when you've got a little baby, so it's really natural to lose weight through being so busy. I'd love to start swimming and walking again.

"My friend is a personal trainer, so she might give me a few tips. I have a couple of friends who gave birth recently so we want to go power-walking - and stop for coffee and carrot cake and put the weight back on again."
