Last night it was revealed who the 12 acts taking part in this year’s live 'X Factor' shows are with Ireland well represented with three singers in the final shake up.
Louis Walsh, who is mentoring the Over 28s, selected Irish Tesco worker Mary Byrne alongside rock singer Storm Lee and care worker John Adeleye.
This year Simon Cowell is mentoring the groups and he has selected boyband FYD, the newly put together 1 Direction with Irish singer Niall Horan as well as girl group Belle Amie with Tallaght girl Rebecca Creighton.
Cheryl Cole, mentor of the Girls’ category, has chosen 17-year-old Cher Lloyd with Katie Waissel and single mother Rebecca Ferguson.
New mother Dannii Minogue, who did not take part in the audition process this year, is looking after the boys and selected former painter and decorator Matt Cardle, Italian Nicolo Festa and Aiden Grimshaw.
The live shows get underway next Saturday night.
