Pop singer Diana Vickers has said that Cheryl Cole was a "fantastic mentor" to her during her time on 'The X Factor'.
Speaking to MTV News, Vickers said: "Cheryl was a fantastic mentor. She’s a real tough cookie and put that into her contestants. It was her first year and she did a great job with us girls."
"[But] I think as well as it being about the judge and the mentor, it’s more about the individual contestant and how much they want it."
"It's also about what they give along with the support of the judge."
