Irish 'X Factor' hopeful Mary Byrne is hotly tipped to make the live finals of the show after winning support from Sharon Osbourne, according to one report.
Osbourne advised Louis Walsh in Adare Manor for the judges’ houses stage of the contest. The Sun reports that the 50-year-old Tesco worker from Ballyfermot in Dublin has made a huge impression with Sharon.
A show insider is quoted as saying "Sharon was mad about Mary Byrne from the beginning. She loved her attitude and her voice and wanted to help her out. Mary had a number one fan in the shape of Sharon and she kept her going when she was close to walking away.

"Sharon assured her she had the talent to go all the way in the competition and gave Mary the boost she needed."
On this weekend’s show Mary will be seen losing her confidence as she sings for Louis and Sharon and on Sunday’s show it will be revealed which three acts Louis is putting through.
