Corrie bosses reportedly may book a whole hotel to keep their tram crash storyline a secret.

According to the Sun, soap bosses are considering forking out £20,000 for all 30 rooms in the former studio bar overlooking the soap's set, which has been converted into a hotel, to prevent photographers from staying there.

A source told the newspaper: "It has been seriously discussed - people are paranoid that shots will be sent around the world, which would be a bigger disaster than the crash itself. There was even talk of asking the hotel to black out the windows."

Show bosses remain tight-lipped over who will perish in the crash, which airs in December as part of the soap's 50th anniversary celebrations.

Producer Phil Collinson has previously revealed that alternative scripts will be issued in a bid to prevent leaks.
