X Factor winner Joe McElderry has revealed he wants to sing at Simon Cowell's wedding.
The 19-year-old singer is signed to Cowell's label Syco after winning the TV talent show last year and is hoping for an invitation to the music mogul's much-hyped nuptials to make-up artist fiancee Mezhgan Hussainy.
McElderry told PA: "Maybe he'll ask us to sing there, you never know."
The South Shields-born lad releases his debut album Wide Awake on October 25 after almost a year working in the recording studio.
He said: "I've been getting ready for recording and then when we were recording, getting ready for the album launch, and just everything really. It's just all been a really hard working year."
The singer will be returning to The X Factor to perform his latest single on the new series, once the live shows begin next month.
McElderry said: "I'll be going on the first week, I think.
"It will be very surreal and I'm really excited and I'm nervous, but I kind of buzz off that nervous feeling and the pressure, so it will be really exciting.
"It's going to be amazing to be able to go there and perform my own single and not have the pressure of being judged, it'll be great."
