'Last of the Summer Wine' star Jean Fergusson has joined 'Coronation Street' to play the mother of one of the characters.

The show's official website says she has been cast as Dorothy Hoyle, the mother of Charlotte Hoyle (Becky Hindley).
Fergusson, who played Marina in 'Last of the Summer Wine', is to appear in six episodes and began filming earlier this week.
