There will be a new beer behind the counter of the Rovers Return in 'Coronation Street' in the coming months, named in honour of Jack Duckworth (Bill Tarmey).
Tarmey is leaving the soap after playing Jack for 31 years and the Daily Mirror reports that as part of his exit storyline 'Coronation Street' brewery Newton and Ridley will honour him with his own beer.
A source told the paper: "It's a master stroke - what a brilliant way to remember Jack.
"And Bill loved the idea too. His smile was a mile wide when he heard they were going to introduce a special bitter..."
