Dublin's PlayStation Hub

A luxurious state-of-the-art gaming zone
A luxurious state-of-the-art gaming zone

PlayStation has transformed vacant premises on Dublin's South William Street into a luxurious state-of-the-art gaming zone to celebrate the launch of PS Move.

The PlayStation Hub has opened at 50 South William Street, offering Irish gamers the chance to experience Playstation Move and other PS3 titles for free before they buy.

It is a very clever decision by Sony. Move definitely needs to be experienced to attract gamers and I would encourage everyone to try to get down there in the next few weeks to see what the fuss is about.

The room is nicely designed and even just seeing so many available consoles in one spot is pleasing for the soul!

I've focused on several positives of Move so far but it would be good to hear your thoughts on the experience and what you make of Sony's big release of 2010.

There are several demo areas dedicated to Move and a separate gaming zone provides a chance to preview some exciting new PS3 game releases, including Gran Turismo 5 and LittleBigPlanet 2.

Move games available to play include Sports Champions, Start the Party, EyePet, The Shoot, The Fight, Heavy Rain Move Edition and Kung Fu Rider.

As mentioned before this is only the launch and as always gamers will have to wait for a top class release, but the early signs are good.

The jury is arguably still out but fair play to Sony for offering Irish fans the chance to try before they buy.

Niall O'Hanrahan, Managing Director of Sony Computer Entertainment Ireland is hopeful for an exciting few weeks.

He said: "We are delighted to have found the perfect space in the heart of Dublin where gaming fans can enjoy the very best PlayStation has to offer and at no cost.

"We are confident that the PlayStation Hub will prove very popular with gaming fans of all levels over the next two months."

Everyone who visits the PlayStation Hub will be in with a chance to win a PS3 and PlayStation Move starter pack.

I'll be checking back on the Hub in the coming week, for further information and to check opening hours visit www.facebook.com/sonyplaystationireland.
