Oprah proved her generosity yet again on the opening episode of her last ever season by announcing plans to take 300 of her ultimate fans on an eight-day trip to Australia this December.
People reports that 56-year-old Winfrey made the announcement saying "I wanted to kick off my 25th season in a big way and I've heard Australia is the ultimate adventure. It's one of the places I've always wanted to visit, and who better to take with me... than some of my most loyal viewers."
The Oprah show will be recorded in the Sydney Opera House on December 14 as part of the trip in front of an Australian audience.
Winfrey opened the show by performing a dance with guest John Travola and she was later serenaded by Paul Simon who sang a song about her 25 years on air.
Don Johnson also made a surprise appearance many years after he turned down an opportunity to appear on the show. At the time Winfrey had quipped on air that he should return the rhinestone glasses she had sent him. 24 years later he returned them.
