'Neighbours' executive producer Susan Bower has said the makers of the show would have liked to have a shooting whodunit involving Paul Robinson (Stefan Dennis) to mark the soap's 6,000th episode.
Warning: spoiler alert!
However, fans will instead see Paul pushed from the mezzanine level of Lassiter's by a mystery person.
Digital Spy reports that in an interview with the ATV News Network Bower said: "We have four forward planning meetings a year, where all we do for an entire Saturday is plot major story arcs, and we knew that the 6,000th had to be incredibly important and sensational.
"We wanted to pay homage to the first episode, so anything we did would involve Stefan Dennis, the only remaining member of the cast from the day one.
"Of course, we would have loved to have done 'Who shot P.R?', but of course we can't do that with our G classification."
