Irish actress and 'The Tudors' star Sarah Bolger is to play the lead role in the film adaptation of Rachel Klein's novel 'The Moth Diaries'.
The Hollywood Reporter says the gothic horror tells the story of a young girl at an elite boarding school who befriends two classmates (Sarah Gadon and Lily Cole) and develops a crush on a teacher (Scott Speedman).
'The Moth Diaries' is directed by Mary Harron, who also brought Bret Easton Ellis' 'American Psycho' to the big screen.
The film has begun shooting in Canada.
