This year’s dance pairings on 'Strictly Come Dancing' will not be announced until tomorrow night in a programme which was recorded on Wednesday.
The celebrities, who were announced in the press earlier this week, and the professional dancers were unaware until Wednesday who they would be dancing with.
The Daily Mail reports that the stars have been rehearsing group dances only for the past three weeks.
Following last season the show lost out in the TV ratings against ITV’s 'The X Factor' and this year a new producer has come in and made sweeping changes. Many of the old professional dancers have been replaced or had their roles reduced on the show.
New producer Moira Ross said "Formats always need refreshing and our new-look show will be gorgeous." She added "But we are also going back to basics. The dance-off has gone, making the results show shorter. We also have fewer stars."
Ross is from Britain but has worked on 'Dancing With The Stars' and says she is planning on bringing some of the razzmatazz from the US show with her.
She said "We will be introducing some spectacular show dances. And we will want to bring out everyone’s personality and encourage humour and insights from the celebrities into the dance routines."
Host Bruce Forsythe is reducing his work load slighty this year and will not take part in the results show where Tess Daly will be joined by 'It Takes Two' host Claudia Winkleman.
